Intensive Care Unit(ICU)
An intensive care unit (ICU), also known as an intensive therapy unit or intensive treatment unit (ITU) or critical care unit (CCU), is a special department of a hospital or health care facility that provides intensive treatment medicine.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU)
A neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), also known as an intensive care nursery (ICN), is an intensive care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants.

High Dependency Unit(HDU)
Intensive care units (ICU) and high dependency units (HDU) are specialist wards providing intensive care (treatment and monitoring) for people who are in a critically ill or unstable condition. We have an intensive care unit at St Helier Hospital and a high dependency unit at Epsom Hospital.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit(PICU)
The PICU is the section of the hospital that provides sick children with the highest level of medical care. It differs from other parts of the hospital, like the general medical floors, in that the PICU allows intensive nursing care and continuous monitoring of things like heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure.

C Arm In Operation Theatre(OT)
C-Arm is a medical imaging device that is based on X-ray technology and can be used flexibly in various ORs within a clinic. The name is derived from the C-shaped arm used to connect the X-ray source and X-ray detector to one another.

Blood Bank
A blood bank is a center where blood gathered as a result of blood donation is stored and preserved for later use in blood transfusion. The term "blood bank" typically refers to a division of a hospital where the storage of blood product occurs and where proper testing is performed.

High Dependency Unit(HDU)
Hemodialysis is one of three renal replacement therapies (the other two being kidney transplant and peritoneal dialysis). An alternative method for extracorporeal separation of blood components such as plasma or cells is apheresis. Hemodialysis can be an outpatient or inpatient therapy.
